You can refuse these meters by issuing the following ‘No Consent’ letter Individual No Consent for Smart Meter to the authorities at your Electricity Department. Fill in the date, your correspondence details, details of your Electricity Dept, and send it by Email Id and Registered Post / Hand Delivered with Acknowledgement. Stick a copy of it on your present meter.

Stay safe, stay vigilant, and avoid the taxpayers money from being wasted, just for the profits of corporates.
